albert maier, passionate illustrator and graphic artist.born and educated in southern germany, grown up between pencils and paint brushes of his father, a dedicated artist and textile designer.

alberts backgrounds are technical illustration, industrial design, architectural visualization, high end photo retouching and commercial/fine art, with additional courses in portrait, anatomic and abstract painting.

work experience in art direction, graphic design, 3d modelling/rendering and animation as well as video editing, for some of the most exeptional art studios and advertising agencies in the european market. albert is a very versatile artist with more than 25 years of experience. Over that period of time he grew with his various jobs and illustrated most complex machinery for
training and end user manuals, assembly instructions with cutaways and glasshouse views, as well as fashion drawings, high end retouchings for exclusive advertising purposes. He did illustrations for childrens books, murals, maps, the whole range of exciting challenges. with growing internet and media technology alberts work changed more and more into virtual 3d worlds, interactivity, modelling and animation.

since 1985 albert has been running his own art studio with
employees and freelancing staff in germany, where he became a well known, and sought after specialist for most difficult and (almost)impossible retouching and illustration tasks.

since june 1999 albert lives in new zealand with his wife andrea, daughter ruth and son stephan. even now, living far away from his former customers, albert is still consulted by some of the
european market leaders and asked for his services and advice online.
